I couldn't resist!! This is the most adorable photo of two guys in my life... This is my big brother Ronnie hanging out with my nephew Walker. Walker is my younger brother's son... and lives in Tennessee with mommy Holly & daddy Brandon! He is the first grandchild in the Welch family!! My brother Ronnie, Uncle Ronnie also lives in Tennessee and gets to hang with Walkman much more than I do!! Don't they look so happy!??!!

Girl's Just Wanna Have Fun! Madeline's 1st Slumber Party!

Madeline turned 9 on Monday, September 17, 2007!!

On Friday, September 21st, my step~daughter Madeline had her
1st Slumber/Birthday Party!!

Madeline's father & I agreed awhile back that when she turned 9 she could have her first sleepover! Little did I know at the time, I would be 8 months pregnant & (just my luck), this weekend happen to fall on opening weekend for dove season... so Eric was off with the guys!!

Madeline and her friends had a blast! We ate pizza, (a slumber party must), sang karaoke, ate an ice cream birthday cake, opened gifts, had a fabulous PJ Fashion Show and watched High School Musical!! The biggest rage with all the girls!!

I probably was a bit ambitious to host a slumber party being 8 months pregnant with a bunch of sweet, giggly, full of energy & spirit 7, 8 & 9 year olds; but luckily for me I have 2 great friends, Katie & Julie who came to my rescue to help a prego mom out!!

Showered with Love

Last Saturday, September 15th my family & friends showered baby "Cash" & I with lots of love!! Chita (my mom) Me (mommy) Gram (Eric's Mom)

The Brunkenhoefer family has 8 grandchildren.... so baby Cash is #9! Eric's mom is called "Gram" by all the grandkids. The Welch family has 1 grandchild.... Walker (my nephew) and
1 grandchild on the way! Walker is 15 months old so as of now my parents don't have that special grandparent name... yet!!

Check out the cake... isn't it cute with all those penguins! It was delicious!!


My girlfriends, Eric's mom & sister threw Cash & I a penguin themed shower! I am quite obsessed with penguins... So of course Cash's nursery will be just a bit penguin crazed!!


More Fabulous Friends!!

My mom gave me this beautiful quilt... My grandmother "NANA" started it before she passed away and my mom finished it for my son, her grandson, and my Nana's great grandson. Of course this was the point at the shower I began to cry, as well as my mom. I was very close with my grandmother... She passed away 0n January 7, 1997 and we buried her on my 23rd birthday, January 9, 1997. Now 10 years later I am very close to giving birth to her great grandson! My mom gave me a very special gift...something I will treasure always. She stitched both her name and my "Nana's" on the quilt. The quilt has cat's on it in different scenes...which is significant because .... My mother's maiden name is Cate which is also my middle name, Wimberley Cate.. If you take the "E" Cate off you get Cat.... and my mom's name is Chita... which is pronounced the same as cheetah... my aunt's name is Bobbie... so she is Bobcat... and my uncle's name is Tommy so he is Tomcat...

My son will have my grandmother's maiden name "McCall" as his middle name in memory of her! Cash McCall Brunkenhoefer!!

How blessed I am to have such wonderful friends and family!
The ladies who hosted the shower ended the shower with a beautiful prayer for baby Cash! They prayed over every inch of him, from his little head to his feet.... and even his future spouse... (although I'm not quite ready for that thought yet)!
It was very special and very precious... I will treasure it always!!

Prego & Fabulous!!!

My girlfriend Marcy and I are were taking silly prego photos the other day! Don't we look fabulous?? We have been friends for over 6 years and first met in a singles hometeam back in 2001!
How life changes!!

We've been great friends through different seasons of our lives. From being single.. teaching kids about christ in children's church, hometeams, running beach to bay, playing on the coed church softball team to getting married... and now we are both pregnant! I got married in December 2004 & Marcy was one of my bride's maids... then she got married July 2005!

Marcy is expecting a little girl on October 5th! Doesn't she look great! I was laughing so hard because we had her stand on a book so our bellies could touch!
